SBC Encourages Gay-Bashing in Public Schools?

I was really ticked when I read Bruce Prescott's Blog this morning. He was very critical of the Southern Baptist resolution on public education. I'm not thrilled about it either and the anti-homosexual agenda behind it, but Prescott's article was irresponsible and unfair. That's why I'm not a big supporter of the SBC or the CBF.
What really bothered me about Prescott's article is that I don't want to be percieved as a bitter jerk. I really am concerned about the harmful actions of Southern Baptists and other Christians. Sometimes I use hyperbole, I'll try to tone it down.

Absolutely horrendous reporting by Bruce Prescott. How do you move from a resolution designed to call attention to pro-homosexual teaching in public schools to saying that Southern Baptists are actually encouraging gay bashing. He apparently did not see the ERLC's video on homosexuality at the convention. I have heard it was excellent by more than a few attendees and it definately preach the opposite of hate. Good job of bringing this article to light Howie. Maybe you aren't such a cynic after all.
